Technology; Power

The power supplies fitted to our range of vehicles vary in both capacity and longevity, with the top tier models having custom designed electrical circuits that can power equipment almost indefinitely without the need for fossil fuels. This is accomplished through the use of purpose built solar panelling, concealed in the roof of the vehicle, and the very latest deep-cycle battery technology from the biggest names in the industry.

Solar Panels

The panels used in construction of your vehicle are Polycrystalline variety, which operate at almost twice the efficiency of the amorphous equivalents. This brings reduced cost, reduced weight, and greater power to the electrical system. All fitted panels are completely weather proof, including rain, snow and frost, and thus can be used all through the year.

Deep-Cycle Batteries

To store the power generated, deep-cycle AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt) batteries are employed. This relatively new technology has been proven in some of the toughest conditions on the planet, and has yet to disappoint. Advantages over regular Gel battery packs include the packs impressive self-discharge rate (just 3% per month) and up to twenty days 'dead' time with zero harmful effects. All this adds up to make the LifeLine AGM battery packs some of the hardiest available, meaning absolutely no maintenance is required on the end user's part. Even recharging is easy, with a lack of an upper charging rate, and the ability to fully recharge up to 30% faster than the Gel equivalent. As these are professional battery solutions we supply all our systems complete with a five year warranty.

Invertors

True sine wave invertors are used to ensure a perfect 230V AC supply to every component on board, and more cost effective MSW (modified sine wave, sometimes called quasi-sine wave) inverters are used for secondary circuits such as heat and light. Depending on the equipment installed, and the load, our surveillance units can recharge themselves and run for many hours at a time, without the need for an external power source.

Monitoring

Although not essential, and unvailable on the more basic vehicle configurations, we can fit numerous monitoring devices that allow the occupants of the unit to stay on top of power and efficiency figures. Although monitoring is an optional upgrade, all systems house safety features that will shutdown various facilities in case of power loss or mechanical failure.
